Treatment of Stretch Marks
Stretch marks, also known as striae, are a form of scarring on the skin with an off-color hue, typically pink, purple or white. They occur on breasts, belly, hips, and thighs. Stretch marks are caused by tearing of the dermis (the deep layer), often from the rapid stretching of the skin, when the production of elastic fibers and collagen is disrupted. This aesthetic defect occurs in women as well as in men.
Most common reasons:
- Pregnancy (about 60 percent).
- Endocrine system disorders.
- Excessive weight.
- Puberty.
- Abrupt weight loss or weight gain.
Pink, the so-called fresh striae are the easiest to treat. With time, they get lighter, wider, turn white and scar-like.
For best results in our clinic, we offer complex treatment of stretch marks:
- We give advice on healthy life style.
- Offer a wide selection of special creams.
- Perform massage (manually and with vacuum).
- Administer mesotherapy.
- Offer laser treatment.
Results:
The best results in stretch marks treatment can be achieved within first months after they occur. However, even with older skin lesions, adequate complex treatment can give anticipated results.
At our clinic, you will be consulted by a physician who, having evaluated your complaints, your skin condition and formations will provide you with full information on the best method of treatment in each separate case.
